Baseline banks using Electronic Credit Folders to understand how the folder is defined, the impact on front office staff and the development effort. Baseline the use of collaborative workflow for loan assessment.
Scope:
Commercial lending operations for customers above $10mm in sales
Desired Outputs:
- The major deliverable from this study would be a working "baseline book" documenting the variety of commercial lending business processes and identifying what functionality is required for document management systems to handle commercial loan assets through their life cycle. For example, a loan collateral system alone has several key processes including: valuing and revaluing assets; insurance, financial statement and tax information; tracking legal documents; managing the appraisal process; selling assets; and accessing financial and administrative data from the commercial loan and other accounting systems.
- Review all aspects of workflow and document management systems value added to ascertain the business value of those systems to the banks and how they impact service and costs.
- Document all implementation issues in regards to these systems and how they where handled. Why were some banks more or less successful with implementation and their experiences working with vendors.
